Job Description:

Professional and technical work performing specialized nursing duties in a clinical setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work also includes the dispensing of pharmaceuticals and may be expected to work after hours in emergency situations; and related work as required.
• Work includes delivering primary care to patients and involves performing physical examinations and developing therapeutic plans of care for prevention, management and maintenance of optimum health for individuals.

Job Requirements:

• Louisiana licensure as a Registered Nurse* (will be verified through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing website).
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.*
• Louisiana licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)* (will be verified through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing website).
• Letter of approval issued by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN) indicating approval for prescriptive authority (PA) privileges in the State of Louisiana* (will be verified through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing website).

Qualification & Experience:

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing from and accredited college or university.*
• Either one (1) year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a direct care setting.
