Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates print production activities for the digital press, the two-color offset press, single color offset press, digital duplicator, and/or the high-speed copier in the City Hall Copy Center
  • Supervises the work of assigned staff; delegates and reviews work assignments; conducts performance evaluations and provides training
  • Performs related work as required
  • Oversees equipment and building routine maintenance and repairs; researches and acquires needed equipment for evolving production needs
  • Assists in formulation of Publishing Services and Mail budget requests, Budget Book Narratives, goals and objectives; monitors financial transactions for accuracy and expedites payments per City financial rules
  • Confers with various departments/divisions regarding annual print and mail projects
  • Coordinates with suppliers to maintain paper stock, inks, toner, and bindery supplies; regulates inventory to ensure envelopes and supplies for the daily water bills are always in stock
  • Oversees mail room and print shop operations to ensure compliance with safety rules
  • Receives, consults on, schedules, and estimates the cost of print requests
